Custer, Loup County 100% compliant with NSP alcohol testing

Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) investigators conducted numerous alcohol screenings in April in collaboration with local public health agencies.

On April 18, investigators conducted checks in Custer and Loup counties. All eleven businesses inspected refused to sell alcohol to a minor for a 100% compliance rate.

A total of 89 companies were inspected in April. 85 of those businesses refused to sell alcohol to a minor. The overall compliance rate in April was 96%.

The businesses monitored include restaurants, bars, supermarkets, liquor stores, convenience stores and other establishments that sell alcohol. Businesses that sell alcohol to a minor will be referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor will be charged with purchasing alcohol for a minor.
